NexARound Technologies & the NexAround Mobile Application

Privacy Summary:

NexARound Technologies does not sell your personal data or live camera streams. Device camera, location, and voice permissions on our flagship mobile app (NexAround) are used exclusively for live AR landmark detection, spatial routing, and personalized AI travel assistance.

1. Scope & Legal Entity

This Privacy Policy governs the collection and use of personal data by NexARound Technologies across our website (nexaround.com) and our flagship mobile application, NexAround (iOS & Android).

2. NexAround Mobile App Permissions & Data Collection

To provide augmented reality and intelligent travel features, the app requests specific permissions:

📷 Camera & AR Mode: Used exclusively for live optical recognition of cultural monuments, landmarks, and museum pieces. Live camera video feeds are processed in device memory and are not recorded or stored on remote servers.
📍 Precise Location (GPS): Used while actively exploring to compute directions, suggest nearby dining/attractions, and display custom map markers. We do not track your location in the background or sell location telemetry.
🎙️ Microphone / Speech: Accessed only when you initiate voice queries for landmarks or record travel journal videos.
🔮 AI Companion (Neva): Queries submitted to Neva are processed via secure enterprise AI models (such as Google Gemini) solely to generate travel recommendations. Conversations are not used for public model training without consent.
📸 User-Generated Stories: Travel stories and photos you choose to share publicly are stored securely and can be deleted by you at any time.

3. Third-Party Integrations

We work with trusted infrastructure providers including Google Firebase (Authentication & Cloud Messaging), Google Maps Platform, Mapbox, and Google Generative AI.

4. Data Retention & Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and associated data directly in the app under Profile › Delete Account or by emailing support@nexaround.com. Deletion requests are permanently processed within 30 days.
